Ocean Connect's mission is to inspire students from underrepresented backgrounds to find careers connected with the ocean. When designing a website for teens, there are extra considerations to take into account. Despite vast hours spent on their phones, many teens lack the skills and patience to adeptly navigate a website, especially one of this size. Simple adjustments like underlining links, changing the highlight color, and adding movement and interaction can all serve as visual aids for teenagers to stay focused and on-task.
