Bayou City Waterkeeper Logo

The Bayou City Waterkeeper is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting the Houston area watershed in Texas. This logo is based on the four elements: earth, air, fire, and water. Earth is represented by the ring of green, which was created from an image of a local rice plant that grows in the region; Air is represented by the egret, a common bird in the area; The egret is silhouetted by the large sun in the center representing the fire aspect; Lastly, the ring of blue is the watershed itself. The circle motif was used to represent the cycles of life in this richly diverse region of the States.
