When Dawn Smalls launched her campaign for New York City Public Advocate, she wanted a logo that reflected her promise to be a voice for all five of the city’s diverse boroughs. I designed it around the iconic New York City skyline, anchored by the Brooklyn Bridge—a symbol of connection and unity across boroughs. The primary color, a deep blue, conveys both her Democratic values and the spirit of the night sky. A golden gradient highlights her name while evoking the image of dawn, representing a new day of leadership and possibility for New York City.
